So I have two exams tomorrow, not to mention a 5-7 page paper to turn as well. Am I slacking right now? I wouldn't say I'm really SLACKING, so much as just taking a study break... and typing down ideas before I forget them.
So the creative juices have been flowing these past couple of weeks, mostly in the form of short film ideas that have been inspired by songs. I've decided that as soon as things calm down as far as my classes go, I'm going to try to make these happen.
What ideas/songs?
One inspired by "Call Me, Call Me" from Cowboy Bebop.
One inspired by Sufjan Steven's "To Be Alone With You."
A couple ideas that I had from this summer that may need revamping (one based on an instrumental piece from "Howl's Moving Castle" and another from The Pillows's "Ride on Shooting Star").
If anyone wants to help (that is if anyone sees this, considering that no one reads this damn thing anymore...) let me know. I'll fill you in on the details of my ideas if you're so interested.
Now back to work, dammit.
Cheers.

Almost there...
Mood: "V is for VICTORY!!" <-- Courtesy of Sush
Music: Misia - Everything
YYYYYYaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Is what I say to the fact that we finished with March Masti and that it was FANTASTIC. =D That PLUS the fact that Spring Break is coming up, so that's FANTASTIC too. I spoke to my advisor today and she helped me figure out my schedule for next year, which is also FANTASTIC. So I guess things are pretty FANTASTIC... minus the fact that I had too much coffee today, so I don't feel good ("well," whatever). Anyway, short post today because I have to go study for my exam on Friday. =(
Ta ta all...
(P.S. SEASON FINALE OF PROJECT RUNWAY IS TONIGHT!! Oh my goodness gracious!)

One down, two to go...
Mood: Let's DO THIS!!
Music: Sounds of Riverside (Car alarms, yelling, stomping, etc.)
It's been a while since my last REAL post. Today's earlier post was done during my South Asian Subcommittee Workday. We churned out one helluva a banner for our upcoming event, but more on that later.
Last night, we finished/closed out our first ACC event of the Spring Semester. Say hello and goodbye to Lunar New Year. It was EXCRUCIATING to prepare, but it ended out BEAUTIFULLY. Now as for how we actually did logistically? Well, we'll have to see... Now that that's over, we're diving head first into our NEXT event which is actually THIS COMING WEEK:
March Masti When? Friday, March 3rd, 2005 from 7-11 PM
Where? Business School Atrium
What? A South Asian Dance Part-ay/Clinic. Wanna learn South Asian dances? We'll teach you! Just wanna SHAKE IT? GO FOR IT! P.S. There'll be FREE FOOD! COME ONE, COME ALL!!! FREE EVENT!!
So that was my shameless plug. =D
But as for other stuff since my last real post...
Sudoku:
That, my friends, was my first attempt at Sudoku...
OUCH.
After that, I some how became pretty really addicted to it over winter break. It was CRAZY. You can ask Cindy. =P
Now there's going to be a huge break in the time line because there was nothing interesting/amusing since then. So on to MORE recently...
UNION 20, BABY!!!
Huzzah for Union 20! Yea verily. It was AWESOME. Lots of fun, lots of energy, lots of personal searching (sounds cheezy and new-agey, I know, but it was true). Do I miss it? Yes, I do. =( But do I think I left it with more than I did going it? Well, let's count, shall we? 19 new friends + a wealth of new knowledge about myself and the world/people around me = AWESOMENESS.
Anyway, that's all for now. Night night, all.

Welcome to the knew layout after the madness that was Batman. If you haven't got a clue as to what I'm talking about, feel free to visit the archives. However, because pitas has a goofy way of archiving things, after you click on the archive link, you'll have to click on "posts" at the bottom. That'll take you to the archive list and from there you should be able to get to the batman post. Since I didn't think to put a "current" link on the batman layout (because that would have been smart, and just uncharacteristic of me -_-;), you'll have to keep hitting "back" to get here again, or just type "megosquek.pitas.com" in the addy bar. Sorry about the trouble. Anyway, now for those of you who have seen it are all probably like "Why/How did that happen?" Well, in my long and tedious search for a new template to replace the summer-y "Be Free!" one, I began to grow increasingly irritated and well, just CRAZY. I then came across the Batman template and thought that it was the most ridiculously dramatic thing I'd ever seen. Sooo... I took the theme of ridiculously dramatic, and just RAN with it. It was wonderful. =D Anyway, I hope that most of you got a bit of a laugh from it, and if you didn't notice the profile and links that I gave that layout as well, then I suggest you take a brief look at that because I did indeed go so far as to add those too. For those of you who didn't get a laugh from this and was somehow offended *cough*Justin*cough* well, I apologize for the misunderstanding, but I still say poo on you, at least I thought it was funny.
ANYWAY, onto a REAL post! Since my last REAL post, I've obviously left Texas Children's and Campbell's Compounding behind. You've already heard stories from the hospital, but the pharmacy...
So Elvin is a pharm. tech. at Campbell's and Lance is the owner/head pharmacist. As a worker there, Elvin's constantly asked to do lots of things for Lance. One time, he asked Elvin to order some food for him so that he could just go pick it up on his way home after work. So Elvin called in the order. When Lance gets to the restaurant, the exchange with the hostess goes something like this...
L: "Hi, I'm here to pick up the order for 'Campbell.'"
H: "I'm sorry, we don't have a 'Campbell' listed."
L: "Well, how about 'Lance?'"
H: "We don't have that one either."
L: "Then what all do you have?"
H: "We have an order for 'Big Daddy'."
L: "... I guess I'll take that..."
H: "You're 'Big Daddy?'"
L: "It would appear so..."
H: *Turns to the kitchen and yells* "Hey! This guy's 'Big Daddy!!'"
So from then on in, Elvin is not allowed to order food for Lance, ever again. The End. =D The story's probably funnier if you've ever met Elvin, because he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. On my second to last day he asked me if I was still shopping for anything for the apartment. My answer? "Welll, I still need to get some toilet paper and stuff like that..." On my last day, I show up and he hands me a pack of toilet paper (ultra fluffy mega roll stuff) with a card attached. "Toilet paper was all I could get out of you, so..." Tee hee. Anyway, overall, my experiences at Campbell's have been pretty nifty. Lance is a nice guy and very smart, so be sure to go to Campbell's Compounding for all your pharmaceutical compouding needs. *cough*ShamelessPlug, who?*cough* Anyway, I'm gonna miss them.
On to a different topic! I'm back in Austin, for those of you who haven't figured that out yet. The new apartment is sweet (I'm pretty convinced that my room there is bigger than my room at home) and so are the new roomies =D (well, the old roomie was sweet too!). Anyway, except for a few maintenence issues (which we have fixed now) and the fact that my room is CRAZY cold (which has yet to be fixed, but oh well, blankets are my friend) Crossing Place has been treating us pretty well.
On another note, classes have started (whoopy...) and I've learned that getting to and from school is proving to be quite the challenge. *Shakes fist at ridiculously full CP buses* As for the classes themselves? Well...
Gov310L, American Government - First day seemed unbearably boring. The only thing that was keeping my interest were the sign language interpreters who were signing out the whole lecture. She even signed out "Can you hear me now?" when the prof was asking about his microphone. The deaf student then popped an "Um, I can't hear you" to the prof. To which prof Prindle responded with something like "Oh, so we've to a smart ass..." It was funny. Yea verily. =D Anyway, the second day seemed more interesting, and Prindle's proving to show himself to be a very funny guy "There was a student who misheard me and turned in a paper that mentioned 'smurfs and lords in the feudal era... little blue people running around Medieval Europe that would have been something to see.'"
Bio 325, Genetics - I guess this class would usually seem really boring to most people, but I kinda like biology (Nerdy? Yes, yes I am. Got a problem with it? Well my nerdiness won't stop me from KICKING YOUR ASS!! BRING IT!) and right now we're just reviewing mitosis/meiosis, so yay.
Chem 204, Intro to Chemical Practice (Lab) - Class was cancelled, so I guess I like this class so far. =D
Chem 302, Principles of Chemistry II - Nnnnnn... I'm not sure about this class. I was falling asleep like mad all throughout, and from what I did gather when I was awake... well, the way my prof talks kinda reminds me of Mr. Evans... which frightens me. He just kinda talks REALLY LOUD ALL THE TIME, AND IN ORDER TO EMPHASIZE SOME THINGS HE'LL TALK EVENLOUDER. I dunno, hopefully things'll be better once I learn how to stay awake/attentive and when we actually start going over real material.
RTF 317, Narrative Strategies So, just based upon what the prof and the agenda for this class says, it seems like this class is gonna be a bit more work than my RTF class was last semester. On the other hand, this class also seems like it'll be a lot more interesting/fun than the last class. I know one thing for sure, this class has a great line up for screenings (The Godfather, Scarface, The Sopranos, and Pulp Fiction to name a few off the top of my head) so I don't think I'll mind this class so much. Although the prof seemed very strict upon first sight and when he was going over the syllabus, when we went actually went over some material with the time we had left, he seemed like a good/nice prof... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this one'll play out as well as I hope it will. =)
So there you have it folks. It's late and I'm tired.
your number has been called...
